A San Diego Engagement Session with the Dogs
When Abby & Andy reached out about wedding photography, they knew they wanted some photos with their pups, but that they could probably not attend the wedding. So it was important that they were able to have them in the Engagement Session. This is completely relatable to me, so I was more than happy to travel to their home town of San Diego to make sure to capture some beautiful memories with their two best guys! Being me, I was of course so thrilled to meet their two dogs and to capture the affection this family has for each other. Bulldogs are just generally hilarious, and he got more attention than any of us from passers-by!
And I could not be happier with the locations they chose. I went to San Diego State University so of course I knew Balboa Park, but I hadn’t explored it nearly as much as I should. We started at the magnificent Organ Pavilion, and wow, so gorgeous! This was in May, so the pavilion was teeming with graduation photo sessions! And I don’t blame them one bit. I would shoot here weekly if I could. We explored further into the park, stopping at the main gallery, the Botanical Building and more, and captured a uniquely San Diego look!
Next we ventured to the beach for sunset, sans dogs. This was an unusually cloudy day, but the sun came out for about 2 minutes for some beautiful golden looks, and lots of fun filled candids as the dress of the bride-to-be got completely caked with heavy wet sand! I do love me a long dress train that shows the day’s adventures on its hems!
I adore these four, and cannot wait for their wedding next year!
