A Mountain-Top Engagement in Santa Barbara, California

Love in wild places. I often gripe about the lack of interesting weather here in Santa Barbara - where are my epic clouds?? - but you’ll never heard me complain about a lack of beautiful places to take photos! When you think of the Central Coast, you may think of beaches and palm trees, maybe wineries and beautiful Spanish architecture. But guys, we also have mountains! Mountains that people climb, and hike. I confess, I haven’t explored them nearly enough, because though I was born and raised here, I’m a fresh water girl, and our rivers and creeks are usually dry. But, I vow to change my habits! 

This lovely couple was down for an Engagement Adventure, and to my utter glee, they brought the dog! (You may recognize him from past social media posts which may or may not be redundantly captioned “he’s so handsome!”) The then-bride-to-be is a dear friend, and I’m so beyond honored to have captured her most special moments last year with her wonderful now-hubby (and Handsome Dog)! Ah!

My favorite thing about this set of photos is that these two are so very silly! No pose was complete until they made some goofy faces and cracked each other up. Or possibly spooked the dog (you’ll know the photo when you see it.)
